SCHOLARSHIP/STIPEND SCHEME
Stipend Scheme: (Only for Undergraduate Day Programs)
- Students having an average GPA of 4.75 and above but less than 5.00 in SSC and HSC examinations will obtain 40% stipend on total tuition fees.
- Those having an average GPA of 4.50 and above but less than 4.75 in SSC and HSC examinations will obtain 25% stipend on total tuition fees.
- Those having an average GPA of 4.0 and above but less than 4.5 in SSC and HSC examinations will obtain 15% stipend on total tuition fees.
- Those having an average GPA of 3.5 and above but less than 4.0 in SSC and HSC Examinations will obtain 10% stipend on total tuition fees.
- Those having an average GPA of 3.0 and above but less than 3.5 in SSC and HSC Examinations will obtain 5% stipend on total tuition fees.
- Students completing GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels will obtain 40%, 25%, 15%, 10% & 5% stipend on total tuition fees for GPA of 4.75, 4.50, 4.0, 3.5 & 3.0 respectively [A=5.00, B=4.00, C=3.00, D=2 and E=1.00].
Tuition Fees Waiver: (For All Programs)
- Siblings studying at the same time at IBAIS University will receive 20% rebate on total tuition fees of one student
- The children of Freedom Fighters and Teachers will receive 10% rebate on total tuition fees.
- Female students will enjoy 10% rebate on total tuition fees.
- Siblings of any former student of IBAIS University will get 10% rebate on total tuition fees.
- IBAIS University Graduates will get Admission Fee waiver.
Full-free Studentship:
1. Students having GPA 5.00 in SSC and HSC examinations will be offered full-free studentship. And students having GPA 5.00 in ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels will also be offered full-free studentship. But they have to pay the following fees:
- admission fee
- internship/ thesis/project fee
- examination fee in case of retaking the examination of any course
- 70% tuition fees of the respective course(s) in case of retaking course(s).
2. 3% of the total enrolled students being poor and meritorious of each academic year of unprivileged area will obtain full-free studentship subject to the following conditions:
a. Merit of the students will be judged on the basis of their results of SSC & HSC results.
b. Students’ guardians have to meet the Vice-Chancellor personally to clarify their pecuniary circumstances.
c. Students have to pay the following fees:
i) admission fee
ii) internship/ thesis/project fee
iii) examination fee in case of retaking the examination of any course
iv) 70% tuition fees of the respective course(s) in case of retaking course(s)
3. 3% of the total enrolled students being the ward of Freedom Fighters of each academic year will obtain full-free studentship subject to the following conditions:
Students have to pay the following fees:
- admission fee
- internship/ thesis/project fee
- examination fee in case of retaking the examination of any course
- 70% tuition fees of the respective course(s) in case of retaking course(s)
Note:
a. Any scholarship/stipend holder may enjoy benefit from one category of the above.
b. If any stipend holder fails to achieve minimum CGPA of 2.5 at undergraduate and 3.0 at graduate levels in any trimester will not be considered for his/her stipend benefit for that particular trimester.
Scholarship Scheme:
Certificate of Distinction:
Students obtaining a CGPA of 4.00 (Without any Retake Exam) at any trimester will get a Certificate of Distinction award and a one-time grant of Tk.4,000/- from the University. Students who achieve Certificate of Distinction award would not be considered for Dean’s Award.
Students of the Year:
Students obtaining a CGPA of 4.00 (Without any Retake Exam) at all the three consecutive trimesters in an academic year will be declared as Students of the Year. Students who achieve Students of the Year award will obtain scholarship of Tk.22,000/- (including the scholarship of Tk.12,000/- of Certificate of Distinction) from the University.
Dean’s Award:
As recognition of excellent academic performance, the names of the students obtaining CGPA of 3.75 or above in two regular trimesters (Without any Retake Exam) in any academic year will be published in the Dean’s list in the Faculty. However, students receiving ‘F’ grade in any of the courses will not be considered for the Dean’s list for that year. Students whose names will be published in the Dean’s list will be awarded Dean’s Award Certificate and a one-time honorarium of Tk.1000/-.
