Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Admission Requirements:
BA/ B.Com/ B.Sc. or its equivalent.
Degree Requirements:
A total of 60 credit hours are required for the MBA degree with a minimum CGPA of B (3.0). Depending on undergraduate preparation, students can reduce credit hours by as many as 9 credits and for which a student may be eligible. However, a minimum of 48 credit hours must be taken at IBAIS University.
The MBA curriculum for students with a four-year Business undergraduate degree/BBA/M. Com./PGD will generally consist of 51 credit hours or less of 500-level courses. Students who have poor undergraduate grades or have not taken undergraduate business courses in Management, Business and Statistics will be required to take the equivalent. Students may be required to take one or more English courses. Prerequisite courses are at the 500 level.
Duration:
A student of Master’s degree requires taking 12 credit hours per trimester under the coverage of a normal academic work load and 4-5 trimesters are required for completion of this degree assuming that a normal work load is taken.
Upon acceptance, students will receive a copy of their planned academic program. Students are encouraged to meet periodically with the Program Director to discuss academic progress, career placement and special needs.

Group B: MGT 750 MBA Thesis (6 Credit hours):
MBA candidates having a minimum CGPA of 3.5 at required and specialized courses may take supervised study and research culminating in a thesis in their fields of specialization, e.g. Marketing, Finance, Management, HRM, MIS and Tourism and Hospitality Management etc. The completed thesis should be well-bound and printed in accordance with the regulations of IBAIS University.
MBA WAIVER POLICY
Pre-requisite Courses:
To apply for pre-requisite undergraduate credit equivalents, a student must have an average grade of “C+” (2.5) or better and courses must have been taken within the past 7 years.
BAD 508: Three credit hours in Business – the equivalent of BUS 105 at IBAIS University.
STA 512: Six credit hours in Statistics – the equivalent of STA 220 and STA 321 at IBAIS University.
MGT 514: Six credit hours in Management – the equivalent of MGT 215 and MGT 322 at IBAIS University.
